This year's AMC will be administered on Tuesday Feb. 7, 2012.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What you need to know about taking the AMC:
- You may use the following: scatch paper, graph paper, ruler, compass, protractor.
- You must bring your own supplies- including a # 2 pencil and an eraser!
- Use of calculators is NOT allowed on the AMC.
- Length of contest: 75 minutes.
- There is a penalty for guessing: Six points are given for a correct answer, 1.5 points
are given for a blank answer and 0 points are given for an incorrect answer!
Unless you can reduce the problem to three possible answers, it is not advantageous
to guess.
